A beautiful natural Rubellite (Pink Tourmaline) sphere, combining rich pink tourmaline with quartz, smoky quartz and shimmering mica. This stone comes from Ambatondrazaka, Madagascar. Subtle mineral inclusions add depth and variation throughout the stone, with occasional cooler bluish-grey nuances creating a beautiful contrast with the pink rubellite.
Rubellite is the pink variety of tourmaline, and specimens occurring naturally together with quartz and mica reflect the complex mineralogy of the pegmatite environments in which tourmaline forms.
