A striking high-grade Amethyst from Uruguay, cut with a flat base so the specimen stands naturally as a decorative display piece. The surface is densely covered with exceptionally lustrous, well-defined crystals in the intense violet tones for which Uruguayan Amethyst is particularly prized.
Uruguay is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest Amethyst, formed within volcanic basalt cavities where silica-rich fluids slowly crystallised over millions of years. The relatively small cavities and particular geological conditions often produce densely packed crystals with unusually deep, saturated purple colour.
Only the base and exterior have been shaped for presentation, while the crystalline surface remains natural.
In crystal healing, Amethyst is traditionally associated with calmness, intuition, spiritual awareness and mental clarity. It is often used to create a peaceful atmosphere and is considered a beautiful stone for meditation and rest.
