This natural Spirit Quartz (Amethyst) with ametrine/ citrine inclusions also known as Cactus Quartz, from Boekenhoutshoek, South Africa features a central amethyst cluster covered with countless small secondary crystals on all of the sides. These tiny crystals formed later during the mineral’s growth, creating the distinctive textured surface that makes Spirit Amethyst so recognizable.
Spirit Quartz forms when a primary quartz crystal grows first and is later naturally coated by many smaller crystals through hydrothermal mineralization. The deposits of Boekenhoutshoek in South Africa are famous for producing these unique formations, appreciated by collectors for their sculptural structure and soft violet color.
