A completely natural Rainbow Galaxy Druzy from Uruguay, presented as a self-standing freeform with a cut base. The natural druzy surface is covered with countless tiny quartz crystals, creating the characteristic shimmering, star-like appearance for which this material is known.
Geologically, the druzy forms when tiny quartz crystals develop over naturally coloured chalcedony/agate and mineral-rich layers. Variations in the underlying minerals create the beautiful differences in colour, banding and patterns seen from one specimen to another.
The colours are 100% natural – this crystal has NOT been dyed, artificially coloured or heat-treated.
